Sara Mostafa was born in Galloway, NJ to a Christian mother and Muslim father. She attended Absegami High School where she played soccer and basketball. Sara was attending a campus huddle when FCA staff person Joe Matera invited her to basketball camp at Kutztown University. Sara was granted a full need-based-scholarship to attend camp and ended up giving her heart to Christ that week. Sara was also granted a scholarship to attend leadership camp that summer and served as a campus leader her senior year.
She received a full varsity basketball scholarship to The George Washington University where she represented Christ on the court, in the classroom and in the community. Sara earned her Bachelors degree in Public Health and her Masters of Public Health in Environmental Health from GW.
She moved back to NJ with a renewed passion, purpose, and desire to serve full time as an FCA Area Representative. “Because of the impact FCA has had on my life, I have an excitement to make an impact through FCA as I minister to coaches and athletes by training and equipping them to be leaders to their peers, teams, schools and communities. I believe these leaders are the next generation of Christ’s Church. My passion is to give back to the communities that poured into me.”
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.Matthew 9:37-38
